スロベニアのピラン港（アドリア海）で採集された個体から繁殖させた。
ソリダは本来、アドリア海固有の種ではないが、船の往来などでアドリア海にも移入してきたと考えられている。
ポリプはウィーンのシェーンブルン動物園からいただいた。
見た目は日本産のミズクラゲと同じように見えるが、遺伝情報を調べると種が異なることが証明されている。
This species was bred from specimens sampled at the Port of Piran (Adriatic Sea) in Slovenia.
Although Solida is not native to the Adriatic Sea, it is believed to have been introduced there through ship traffic and other means.
The polyps were provided by the Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna.
Although it looks similar to Aurelia coerulea, genetic analysis has confirmed that they are different species.
