東海大学よりポリプをいただき、クラゲを育てている。
野生個体では、傘径70ｃｍほどになり、傘の表面は固くざらざらしている。
タイなどの東南アジアでは食用として漁獲されている。
We received polyps from Tokai University and am raising jellyfish.
In the wild, they grow to a bell diameter of about 70 cm, and the surface of the bell is hard and rough.
In Southeast Asia, including Thailand, they are harvested for food.
