傘高：～4mm

傘縁の触手は８本以上あり、この触手が枝分かれしていることからこの名前が付けられた。

あまり泳がず、海藻などに付着生活をしている。

北海道から九州に分布し、庄内浜では春～初夏にカギノテクラゲと一緒に出現する。

 

The bell margin has eight or more tentacles, and this name was given because these tentacles branch out.
It rarely swims, instead attaching itself to seaweed and other surfaces.
It is distributed from Hokkaido to Kyushu, and appears together with Gonionemus vertens at Shonai Beach in front of Kamo Aquarium from spring to early summer.
