ヨーロッパの水族館より、ポリプをいただいてクラゲを遊離させて育成している。

日本のハヤマコツブクラゲとはポリプとクラゲの形態が異なっている。

和名はまだついていない。日本では当館が初展示のクラゲである。

 

We received polyps from a European aquarium and are raising the jellyfish by detaching them.
The polyp and jellyfish forms differ from those of Japanese Podocoryna hayamaensis.
This species does not yet have a Japanese name.

My aquarium is the first time this jellyfish has been exhibited in Japan.
