通年、南日本各地で見られるクラゲ。

透明なお椀型の傘がきれいなクラゲ。

コブエイレネクラゲと似ているが口柄支持柄にコブがないことに見分けることができる。

当館では繁殖に成功しており、本種を展示している水族館も多い。

 

This species can be found year-round throughout southern Japan.
A beautiful jellyfish with a transparent, bowl-shaped bell.
It resembles Eirene lacteoides, but Eirene menoi can be distinguished by the absence of a lump on Manubrial peduncle.
My aquarium has successfully bred this species, and many aquariums exhibit it.
