食用クラゲとして知られており、カリフォルニア湾北部に生息する。

日本では当館が初展示であり、体色が琥珀色(Amber)であることからアンバーキャノンボールという仮称をつけた。

海外からポリプを譲り受けて、エフィラを遊離させて育成している。

 

 

This species is known as an edible jellyfish and inhabits the northern California Bay.
This is the first time it has been exhibited in my aquarium, and it has been given the provisional name “Amber Cannonball” due to its amber body color.
Polyps were received from overseas, and the ephyra stage was released and cultivated.
