傘はお椀形。放射管と触手は4本。触手の根元に赤い触手瘤があり、触手と触手の間には感覚棍と黒点を持つ。拍動は速く活発に動く。本種を飼育していると飼育水が金属のような独特な匂いになる。

 

The umbrella is bowl-shaped. It has four radiating tubes and tentacles. Red tentacle bulb are present at the base of the tentacles, and sensory clubs with black dots are located between the tentacles. The pulsations are rapid and active. When keeping this species, the aquarium water develops a distinctive metallic odor.
