傘高５ｍｍ程度のクラゲ。

触手は４本で傘刺胞が見られる。

ポリプはカイメンの中に生息しており、当館近くの庄内浜から採集された。当館ではポリプから遊離させたクラゲを展示しており、おそらく当館が日本初展示のクラゲである。

 

This species is a jellyfish with a bell height of about 5 mm.
It has four tentacles with visible bell nematocysts.
The polyp inhabits sponges and was collected from Shonai Beach near my aquarium.
My aquarium exhibits the jellyfish after detaching it from the polyp, making it likely the first such exhibit in Japan.
