姉妹水族館である、いおワールドかごしま水族館よりいただいた個体から繁殖させた。分類は不十分で、現状では種同定は困難である。

傘径１５ｍｍ以上まで成長し、数年以上の飼育記録もある。他のクラゲと異なり、浮遊せずに傘を逆さまにして底面や壁に付着して生活する。

 

This species was bred from specimens received from our sister aquarium, Ioworld Kagoshima Aquarium.

Classification is insufficient, making species identification difficult at present.
It grows to a bell diameter of 15 cm or more, with records of captivity lasting several years or more. Unlike other jellyfish, it does not float freely but instead attaches itself upside down to the bottom or walls.
