大きくなっても約1ｃｍで、やわらかい体をしている。

生殖腺の形が楕円形なのが特徴。

ウミコップ属は同定が難しいが、黒潮生物研究所の戸篠博士により同定していただいた。

 

This species remains about 1 cm even when fully grown and has a soft body.
Its characteristic feature is the elliptical shape of its gonads.
The genus Clytia is difficult to identify, but Dr. Toshiro of the Kuroshio Research Institute identified it for us.
