傘径１５ｍｍほどのクラゲ。

傘の放射管に沿って生殖巣が形成され、十字状に見える。当館では繁殖に成功しており、ポリプからクラゲを遊離させて育てている。

二ホンベニクラゲに次いで、世界で２例目の若返りのクラゲとして知られている。

 

This species is a jellyfish with a bell diameter of about 15 mm.
Gonads form along the radial canals of the bell, appearing cross-shaped.

My aquarium has successfully bred them, raising the jellyfish by releasing them from the polyps.
It is known as the world’s second example of a rejuvenating jellyfish, following Turritopsis sp..
