エボシクラゲに形が似ているが、触手が2本しかない。

傘が５ｍｍほどで、本州中部から西日本でよく見られる。

当館では野生個体から繁殖させ、ポリプから遊離した稚クラゲを育成して展示している。

 

This species resembles Leuckartiara octona in shape but has only two tentacles.

Its bell measures about 5 mm and is commonly seen from central Honshu to western Japan.

At my aquarium, we breed them from wild specimens and exhibit juvenile jellyfish produced from polyps.
