北海道で冬～春に見られる。

２本の紅色の触手が特徴的で、触手を伸ばして漂う姿が美しい。

触手には膠胞（こうほう）という粘着細胞があり、それを使って獲物を捕らえる。

毒はないので触手に触れても刺されることはない。

 

This species is found in Hokkaido from winter to spring.
Characterized by two red tentacles, its appearance drifting with these extended is beautiful.
The tentacles contain colloblasts, which it uses to capture prey.

It is not venomous, so touching the tentacles will not sting you.
