他のクラゲと同じようにつかまえたエサも食べるが、体の中にある共生藻による光合成の働きで栄養を作ることも出来る。

 

Like other jellyfish, this species eats captured prey, but it can also produce nutrients through photosynthesis performed by symbiotic algae within its body.
