傘径：～8mm

傘径は８ｍｍほどで、日本各地で春から秋に見られる。本種は口が複数できてから、体が分裂して増えていくというおもしろい特徴がある。口がない部分でちぎれてしまうと、その部分は生存できない。エアーによる水流が強すぎてもバラバラになって死んでしまう。当館ではポリプも得て繁殖して維持している。

 

This species has bell diameter of about 8 mm and can be found throughout Japan from spring to autumn.

It has an interesting characteristic: after multiple mouths form, the body splits to reproduce.

If a section breaks off where there is no mouth, that part cannot survive.

If the water flow from the air is too strong, it will break apart and die.

In my aquarium, we have obtained polyps and am successfully breeding and keeping them.
