両端の腕状部を猫の耳のように持ち上げ、触手をただよわせて餌を待っている。

餌のアルテミア幼生を捕まえると、触手が縮んでいく様子が観察できる。

他のクラゲのように浮遊はせず、海底の岩や砂の上に付着して生活する。

 

This jellyfish holds its arm-like appendages at both ends like cat ears, letting its tentacles drift as it waits for prey.
When it catches Artemia larvae, you can observe its tentacles retracting.
Unlike other jellyfish, it does not float freely but attaches itself to rocks or sand on the seabed to live.
