クラゲを食べるクラゲで、当館ではミズクラゲを毎日与えている。

傘の中央が黄色く色づき、卵の黄身のように見えることから、英語では egg yolk jelly（卵黄クラゲ）と呼ばれる。

 

This jellyfish eats other jellyfish, and we feed it Aurelia coerulea every day in my aquarium.
Its central bell turns yellow, resembling an egg yolk, hence its English name: egg yolk jelly.
