２０１５年に国内で初めて確認・命名されたクラゲ。

有明海奥部の河口域に生息する。

傘径は１０ｍｍ前後で、汽水域に生息する。

黒海が原産だが、船のバラスト水などによる移入種の可能性が指摘されている。

 

This jellyfish species was first identified and named in Japan in 2015.
This species inhabits the estuary region deep within the Ariake Sea.
Its bell diameter is around 10 mm, and it lives in brackish water areas.
Although native to the Black Sea, it is suspected to be an introduced species likely transported via ship ballast water.
