放射管が８本あり、傘の中央付近に黄白色の楕円形の生殖巣が発達する。

長崎県の九十九島水族館からいただいたポリプからクラゲを遊離させて育成した。

２０１０年に長崎県で発見され、日本初記録となった。

 

This species has eight radial canals, with a yellowish-white, elliptical gonads developing near the center of the umbrella.
Jellyfish were isolated and cultivated from polyps received from the Kujukushima Aquarium in Nagasaki Prefecture.
It was discovered in Nagasaki Prefecture in 2010, marking its first recorded occurrence in Japan.
