傘の中心から傘縁を超えて伸長する長い口柄支持柄が特徴的なクラゲ。

傘縁には8本の長い触手と80本程度の短い糸状体を有する。

国内では2022年に沖縄糸満沖で発見され、日本初記録種となった。

 

A jellyfish characterized by a long manubrial peduncle extending beyond the bell margin from the center of the umbrella.
The bell margin bears 8 long tentacles and approximately 80 short filaments.
Discovered off Itoman, Okinawa in 2022, it became the first recorded species in Japan.
